Abdul Rahim Al Nimer

I joined Commercial Bank of Dubai more than 20 years ago and have grown with the bank, enjoying various roles and responsibilities during my time. I started out as a training officer, moved on to branch manager postings, spent time as head of CBD Elite and took up my current role in 2010.

I work along the lines of "great just isn't good enough". Successful leadership requires strong support from the team, with a focus on trustworthiness, clear communication and quick decision making processes.

In recent times I have been fostering a partnership in decision making for the team, asking for them to focus on successful implementation, challenging them where appropriate and providing my support to ensure that the team reaches its goals.

During my time with CBD I have experienced many great clients and the different scenarios they bring, but my proudest achievement was a letter of recognition from the Deputy Chief Executive for the services to various clients.
