Activate your debit card (only activate after receiving the physical card)
- Log in to the CBD app and follow instructions to activate your card
- SMS ACT along with the last 4 digits of your debit card number to 4266 (e.g. ACT 1234 from your registered mobile number with CBD
- Call 800 1223 and follow the instructions on IVR (you will require telephone banking PIN) or speak to one of our customer service representatives
Create your debit card PIN
- Log in to the CBD app and follow instructions to activate your card
- Visit any CBD ATM
- Call 800 1223 and follow the instructions on IVR (note: telephone banking PIN is required)
Eligibility criteria
To become a valued CBD Elite customer, you must meet either of the following eligibility requirements:

Our goal at CBD is to ensure that everyone has access to affordable banking solutions to help improve financial capability, promote savings, and build assets and wealth in the months and years to come. To ensure you are not charged a monthly service fee on your account, please ensure you maintain a minimum monthly average balance of AED 5,000 (minimum salary transfer of AED 5,000 or more, effective 1 August 2024). This is waived if you transfer your salary to CBD or if you have a loan/finance with the bank.
